The best way to get acquainted with all of the features that Connect Lucas has to offer you and your students is to just click around the navigation bar at the top of every page.

Click the HOME button at any time to return to the Connect Lucas Home Page.

Click GRADEBOOK to expose your CLASS GRADEBOOK, which you can use to:
- Find assignments that have been submitted (They’ll be annotated with a “Grade me” link)
- Review and grade completed assignments
- See student status on completing readings and assignments
- Review the grades you’ve given to each student

The CHAPTERS link in the navigation bar provides a way to navigate quickly to any specific chapter. When you are accessing a Connect Lucas Plus (with eBook) course, selecting a chapter will display the first page of that chapter, and when you are accessing a Connect Lucas course (no eBook), the chapter outline will display.

INSTRUCTOR TOOLS help you to manage your classes on Connect Lucas.
VIEW ROSTER links you to the roster of students in the course you are accessing. Within any of your classes, it’s possible that some students are using the Connect (without eBook) product while others are using the Connect Plus (with eBook) product. To get a complete roster for the specific class or section that interests you, you may have to SWITCH COURSES and view both the Connect and the Connect Plus rosters for the section.
DROP STUDENT lets you remove a person from the class roster if a student has left your class.
EXPORT GRADES lets you export grades to a .csv file, which can then be opened in Excel and used to update your CMS (such as Blackboard, WebCT, etc.). Note that only the grades of the students in the course you are accessing will be exported.
SET DEADLINES lets you set start and end dates (deadlines) for each assignment.
FORUMS provide private discussion areas for use by you and the students enrolled in your course.
EMAIL STUDENTS provides an easy way for you to send an email to every student in the course you are accessing.
INSTRUCTOR RESOURCES is a link to the McGraw-Hill Online Learning Center for the 10th edition of The Art of Public Speaking. To access Instructor Resources, you’ll need your McGraw-Hill Online Learning Center username and password.
PASSWORD is a link to a simple form that will let you change your password.
UPDATE E-MAIL lets you change the e-mail address you have registered on the Connect Lucas system. It is important to keep your e-mail address current in case any of your students wants to use the system to contact you, or in case Connect Lucas Support needs to send you an e-mail.
SWITCH COURSES lets you change to a different section – or to toggle between the Connect Plus (with eBook) and Connect (without eBook) portions of your class. When you SWITCH COURSES and select one of the courses listed, you’ll see a screen showing a message like this:
